This is a sympathy card I made. I had longed for Lovely As A Tree, a Stampin' UP! Stamp set, and I finally got it in a trade. It is so versatile. I tried for a fall theme and loved the rustic look. The sentiment is from Anna Griffin and the twill is slightly tinted. I love the new colors from SU and this one uses Cranberry and Thyme.

This is another birthday card I am sending out this month. Again, trying to apply the design principles before I just start stamping. I was not thrilled with the blue and green combo, but I used a flower that had been colored on a previous occasion so I matched my cardstock as well as I could. The image was colored with prismacolor pencils, and gamasol.

Simple Design Birthday

I have been trying to study up on what makes a great card, I have been learning about design priciples from stampers at SCS . . .splitcoaststampers.com . . . and I am trying to apply what I have learned. It takes a lot more thought, but I am overall much happier with the outcomes. Although this is not an exciting card, I love the thought that went into it.
The blog that I have been studying is Ellen H from splitcoast stampers, here is a link to her blog

I am usually a Stampin' Up freak when it comes to stamping, but here is a card I made as a thank you to a lady who makes a big imapct on my life at church. I needed to send her a small word of thanks, so that is what is on the front!

I got the stamp at Michaels out of a dollar bin, it is a foam cube stamp and I loved it!

I dyed my own white grosgrain ribbon using a tutorial from another blog:

but don't go there or you'll never come back to me! :)

Thanks for letting me share!

A Time To Stamp

This is my blog, I am very happy this name was available.

Life is busy. But there is, according to the Bible, time for everything under heaven . . . and in this case, a time to stamp.

Stamping has been such a fulfilling creative outlet for me and I enjoy it so much that I thought I would share this blog to help others know me better.

I hope you enjoy!
